Infuriating Fruit Tarts
I spent my entire Sunday break making these little devils. Silly me. I thought I would challenge myself after not baking for 2 weeks with these little things. Who knew they were so tedious!
I tried and failed at least 5 times with the cream filling of these tarts. Eventually I got so frustrated that my mother had to step in to help me whip a simple cream filling and we threw away all the previous attempts. I was so frustrated I think I could have killed someone. 2 cups of milk and almost 2.5 cups of whipping cream down the drain. I feel bad. They were really expensive. Sigh.
Nevertheless, the rest of the fruit tarts are true to the recipe! After I put away my stress, they were a lot more fun to pipe and decorate. And they taste pretty good I must say!
