Christmas Reindeer Short Bread Cookies

Hello everyone!

I have just ended my exams about 2 weeks ago and am half way into my new internship with the library. So far I've been really busy with volunteer work, work, and prepping for Christmas!!

I saw this reindeer cookie idea about a month ago and thought to myself that I HAD to do this. It was just too cute to resist. Unfortunately the cookie recipe was peanut-butter base, and considering all that food that I am going to consume this season, I don't really feel like putting on so much weight with that much peanut butter!

So I came across another cookie recipe on pinterest. It's shortbread cookies! It's super, super simple and easy to handle and make. I think I am going to stick with this cookie recipe from now on! Unexpectedly brilliant, really.

So the first batch of cookies - I didn't have space to put M&Ms for the eyes... therefore explaining the somewhat blind reindeers in this picture. Second time round, I dug out some choc chips from my cabinet and voila! It worked!

Also, my friend and I looked around for pretzels and I think I got lucky. I saw chocolate pretzels at Cold Storage 2 weeks back and they were 10 bucks for a bag - kind of steep for me! So today I tried searching at NTUC FairPrice and they were selling pretzels from this brand, Pauly, for only 4 dollars! Plus it comes together with normal stick biscuits. It's not chocolate coated - but it works. They had frosting coated pretzels too in the same Christmas section but I thought that white antlers would look strange.

Too cute to eat. Too cute. Put them in a jar and voila - perfect gift for Christmas! (Jar in the background was about $3 at IKEA)

Enjoy :D
